INTRODUCTION

I don’t know whether you have made a terrible mistake before and you feel like hitting your head on the wall. Well, I don’t want you to so. I want to encourage you to forget about your mistakes. Learn from it and move on. Turn them into an opportunity. We all make mistakes, and we don’t have to kill ourselves over our past errors; we are human. No wonder someone once said that, to err is human but to forgive is divine.

Nonetheless, I really want you to know that, none of us does life so well that we are far away from doing something dumb; and what has taken a lifetime to build has the potential to be lost in a moment. Life will always be replete with mistakes even though we do not want mistakes to transpire in our everyday life. And irrespective of how old we are mistakes, losses and failures are not optional or inevitable. But if we are properly armed, the mistakes or losses will not overcome us—because the man or woman who takes something worthwhile from the bad times strips them of their control over our minds, bodies, heart and souls.

The sad news is that the lessons we are given in schools are not the things that carry us through life; those are just the lessons that gives us the basic tools to face the real world outside the classroom walls. And that real world is going to be tough and may even sting. It is going to hurt. Sometimes it’s going to bump and bruise you; other times it is going to knock you off your feet.

The mistakes and losses are going to come at you in every shape and size, so as to hit you in every area of your life. From your finances to your heart, to your health, relationships and more—that much is guaranteed. What is not guaranteed is how you use, react and respond to those challenges at your disposal.

However, Bertolt Bretch echoed this when he said; “Intelligence is not to make no mistakes, but quickly to see how to make them good.” Elbert Hubbard believed that, “A failure is a man who has blundered, but is not able to cash in on the experience.” That’s absolutely true. But the truth is, success and fame don’t always come to the most talented people, sometimes they come to the person who has the ability to turn his or her mistakes, adversities, losses and setbacks into an advantage. “Mistakes are painful when they happen, but years later a collection of mistakes is what is humbly called experience.”

Mistakes can often be our best teachers, if we are willing enough to admit them and learn from them, so we can gain in more knowledge and insight into the future. I’ve written this particular book to add value to people’s life, change their attitude about their mistakes so as to allow them absorb and learn something tangible to turn this mistakes into steppingstone for forward moving. My humble desire is that grasping the positive from your negative experiences will holistically add crucial value to your life.
